This 6LP is the marine version of the Toyota 1HD-FT — the 24-valve (4 valves/cyl) 'go-fast' head 4.2 L Land Cruiser diesel (that head is why the ST out-powers the DT). Bottom end plus the 24-valve head & valves cross to Toyota 1HD-FT numbers; marinized externals are Yanmar-only.
