Beta Marine engines are marinized Kubota blocks — buy the tractor part

Every Beta Marine diesel is a marinized Kubota industrial engine. Here is the Beta-to-Kubota block map, so you can order internal service parts as far cheaper Kubota agricultural spares.

Beta Marine = Kubota, model for model

Beta Marine builds no engine of its own. Every Beta diesel is a marinized Kubota industrial block — Beta fits the marine hardware (heat exchanger, raw-water pump, marine gearbox) to a standard Kubota engine and gives it a Beta name. The internal engine is pure Kubota, so its service parts cross to Kubota part numbers, which sell through tractor, generator and plant channels for a fraction of the marine price.

Beta's own internal engine code makes the link explicit: the Beta 38 is coded "BV1505" — a Kubota V1505. Strip the "B" and you have the donor block.

Worked example — a Beta 38 oil and fuel filter

The Beta 38 is a Kubota V1505. Its filters are stock Kubota "05-series" spin-ons:

as 211-70510/02.)

Buying these under the Kubota or aftermarket number typically costs a fraction of the Beta-branded box. See the oil filter and fuel filter charts for the full family.

Find your Beta's parts

Open your model above and use the "Industrial / tractor part equivalents" view to list the Kubota block's parts, e.g. the Beta 38 savings view. For raw-water pump impellers, see the impeller cross-reference chart.

A base-engine match is a strong buying lead, not a fitment guarantee — Kubota part numbers supersede over time and Beta occasionally fits different auxiliaries. Confirm against a Kubota dealer before ordering. More in our Methodology.
