The British Ford marinizers
Three classic British marinizers — American Diesel/Lehman ("Ford Lehman"), Sabre and Mermaid — all built on Ford industrial and tractor blocks: the Dorset, Dover and Dagenham families of four- and six-cylinder diesels. These are robust, slow-turning engines still common in trawlers and motorsailers. Internal parts cross to the Ford industrial numbers, and many wear items are shared between marques because they share the block.

The Mermaid J444 engines are JCB Dieselmax blocks (PowerTorque marinization), not Ford — cross those to JCB 444 part numbers.
Shared parts across the Ford marques
Because they share Ford blocks, these engines share consumables. The Sabre 150 and Mermaid Mistral are both the Ford 2704ET — effectively the same engine. The Sabre 120 (2715E) and Lehman SP135 (2725E) are closely related 6-cylinder Dorset/Dover blocks whose oil filter and raw-water pump impeller are widely reported to cross (e.g. oil filter WIX 51515 / Napa Gold 1515; impeller Jabsco 1210-0001).
