Nanni Diesel marinizes Kubota industrial blocks

I've mapped Nanni small and mid-range diesels to a Kubota base engine. Order internal service parts as Kubota agricultural spares.

Nanni Kubota range

Nanni Diesel marinizes engines from several makers. The 2-cylinder, 3-cylinder, and 4-cylinder range up to the mid-size blocks uses Kubota.

Nanni owns the marine hardware. The internal engine is Kubota. Service parts cross to Kubota part numbers. Agricultural channels sell those numbers at a lower price.

Nanni model numbers roughly encode cylinders and power. N4.38 means 4-cylinder and about 38 hp. Order internal parts against the base engine.

The older HE range uses Kubota Z-series and D-series blocks. That range includes 2.40, 2.50, 3.75, 3.90, and 3.100HE. I grade a few of those mappings likely. Check the confidence chip on the engine page.

Shared parts with Beta Marine

Beta and Nanni draw on the same Kubota blocks. Many wear parts are common across both marques.

The F5B-9 raw-water pump impeller (Jabsco 29500-1501) is one example. Nanni 4.150HE and N4.38 share it with the equivalent Beta pump.

See the impeller cross-reference chart.

Filters follow the Kubota family. The V-series oil filter is Kubota HH164-32430 (WIX 51307). The common Kubota fuel filter is 15221-43170 (WIX 33390).

See the oil filter guide.

Find parts for your Nanni

  1. Open your model in the table above.
  2. Open the Industrial / tractor part equivalents view. That view lists parts for the Kubota block.
  3. For a worked savings page, open the N4.38 savings view.
If you order, confirm Kubota numbers with a dealer first. I've inferred some Nanni HE mappings from displacement and fingerprint. Those rows carry the grade likely. See Methodology.

Marine hardware you still buy as Nanni

The Nanni marinizing kit stays Nanni. That kit includes the heat exchanger, raw-water pump body, gearbox (often TM or similar), wet exhaust, and control gear.

Internals of the Z, D, and V block are Kubota.

The F5B-9 impeller example above is an aftermarket Jabsco number on a Johnson pump. Nanni and Beta share that pump family.

How to confirm the block

  1. Read the Nanni model number for cylinders and rough power. N4.38 means 4-cylinder and about 38 hp.
  2. That number omits the Kubota code. Use the table, then read the engine plate.
  3. If the engine page grades an HE-range mapping likely, check the serial before you order pistons.
  4. For shared Kubota filters, use V-series oil HH164-32430 (WIX 51307) and common fuel 15221-43170 (WIX 33390).

FAQ

Does Nanni use other industrial blocks?

This guide covers the small and mid Kubota range. Larger or older Nanni families can use other industrial blocks. Read the engine page.

Nanni versus Beta on the same Kubota?

They share internals. Each marque has its own seawater kit. Impellers follow the pump.
